Performance
We had a good trading month in August. The High Yield model strategy returned 10.8%. The Legacy Low Risk returned 5.0%. The Portfolio return was 7.3%.

To put this in context, if you have invested 100K, the High Yield model would have returned 10,800 USD for you in August. Think of your monthly salary and think about the opportunity this gives you.

These numbers are again higher than our target of 3% monthly return. We are grateful for the positive returns and thank you our Investors for the trust to entrust your money with us.

BVI Fund Setup almost ready to go
We now have the fund structure at BVI registered with the authorities in the British Virgin Islands. The fund’s name is Ellington 5Mastery Ltd. We were glad to receive our certificate of incorporation last week. The next step is to register with the BVI regulatory authority. The lawyers are putting final changes to the documentation and to submit it for regulatory approval. We expect this to be concluded by September 2021.

We have Customer Number 10
We have achieved our target of the first 10 Investors. We did not have 10 but got 11. We are grateful to all of you that entrusted your money to us.

The minimum Deposit is now 100K USD
In line with our previous communication, the minimum investment is now 100K USD. Encourage those who are interested to take advantage of this opportunity now. Once we reach 5 million USD of Asset under Management, the minimum Investment will move to 1.1 million dollars. We are getting close to 5 million.

2 Investors Have the Balanced Portfolio
We are happy to report that two of our investors are the first set to achieve a Balanced Portfolio. That means they have both High Yield and Legacy Risk strategies in their portfolio. To achieve this, you need your invested capital to reach 100K. This does not necessarily mean they make more money (they actually do) but the emphasis is that they have better protection on the downside risk. We congratulate these two investors and encourage others to make more deposits to attain this status – it gives your investment better protection and solid footing.

We have created our WhatsApp group. You should have seen our posting on your device. If you are not on it and you want to be in, please write to us. Please be careful to post non-sensitive information on the channel.

What if someone cannot raise 100K to invest? Answer: the person simply cannot be one of our Investors. We must obey the authorities and be professional.

Take care of your Health – Exercise!
Exercise is the area we want to emphasize this month.

Please take the time to exercise. You can start small. The key focus should be on the regularity NOT on how much you do at a time. When you are regular, you improve. Exercise improves your mental health too. It improves your relationship.

How do your start?: Simply start by walking. Walking is free. Walking can be done almost everywhere. I knew someone who walks inside the airplane as part of his exercise routine while traveling. Walking requires little or no equipment. It is free.

Health is closely linked to Wealth. At Ellington 5Mastery we are helping you create wealth. We do want you to have good health so that you can enjoy the money we make for you. July Performance
We had a good performance in July.
Our signature strategy, Aviawu (High Return) produced a 13.8% return. That is 13,800 dollars if you have invested 100K at the beginning of July!
While we love and celebrate this achievement, please note that it is not typical. We normally expect to generate 3 to 5% per month. Having said that, we are grateful for the opportunity to produce high return for our investors – we already made 6.9% return in the first week of August as you can see in the picture above.

Minimum Investment goes up to 50K USD
Our minimum investment now goes from 40K to 50K. There are two more slots for customers to fill, after that, it will go up to 100K.
This is the best opportunity for anyone who wants to invest but has limited funds to do so. Please inform your friends who may be qualified investors and may able to invest 50K or more to do so. We set this up to benefit a few people and make their lives better. We cannot boil the ocean, so we will not be able to take on everyone.

Why 100K Minimum?

This is the regulation. We are registering our Fund as a Hedge Fund in the International Financial Services. The minimum Investment is set by the regulatory authorities at 100K. We cannot change that. We are still accepting 50K USD now because we are yet to complete our registration formalities (due to smaller Asset Under Management), once we do, it will be 100K. This will also move the Fund from being a Nigerian Fund to an International domiciled fund outside Nigeria. We need to do this to benefit from better regulation, audit, and legal structure that Nigeria CAMA, unfortunately, does not offer us at this time (Nigeria has no rules or laws on Hedge Fund!). Please note that Ellington will continue to remain a Nigerian company, only the fund will move internationally as a separate legal entity.

Based on your feedback we are now providing monthly Detail Fund Information. It shows the performance of all the strategies in the Fund/Portfolio. It also gives some insight into how we manage investors’ funds at lower risk. You can see a sneak preview here. We will continue to update it.

In a similar development, we have now improved our performance information displayed on the home page of our website. It now contains the total cumulative performance per year as well as the overall cumulative performance since inception. You can see it at the home page here.
